IRHD hardness testers (IRHD = International Rubber Hardness Degree) determine the indentation depth of materials, from foams to rigid plastics and rubber.A measure of the indentation resistance of elastomeric or rubber materials based on the depth of penetration of a ball indentor.An initial contact force is applied to an indentor and the penetration is set to zero. And, once the tablet is broken, the main hand comes back to zero position, while the follower hand remains locked at the reading to denote the breaking force. Brinell Hardness Tester is a production type machine designed for measuring the Brinell Hardness of steels and other metals that are flat, round or irregular in shape. The machine is sensitive, accurate and easy to operate. The machine consists of a ‘J’ frame, main lever, hanger, elevating screw, loading - unloading mechanism and damper system. The load is applied on the job through a ball indentor. It is applied through a lever mechanism.  - The main lever carries three male vees one for hanger second for spindle shaft and third for pivot vee.
