Heat-Treated Glass   Available in both fully toughened (tempered) and heat-strengthened form, these glasses are processed through a tempering oven to increase its strength to resist impacts, mechanical loads and thermal stress breakage. Since annealed glasses are very fragile, their use in most building applications cannot be considered since they have a high risk of breakage and can result in serious injuries when broken.
