The converter grade thyristor range extends upto 4350Amps with PIV upto 2800V incorporating standard packages of 14" unf stud in to hat range to 3"in capsule type. The inverter range is divided into two distinct types. One meant for standard low frequency inverter upto 4350 amps and 2800 volts and the other for high frequency applications such as induction heating and high frequency welding. The high frequency range has thyristors upto 1200 amps with voltages upto 2000 volts., 'turn off' times as low as 10 microsecs.

HIRECT is leading supplier of the Water Cooled rectifier system. These rectifier systems supply high current upto 50KA for application like electro smelting. The systems are designed with OFWF cooling for transformer and water cooling for rectifiers. HIRECT also supplies converter transformer of ONAN and AN types as well as high current AC-DC chokes for smoothing and current limiting application.

Starting with the supply of diodes for traction application, Hirect now caters to wide range of rectifiers for rolling stock application. The semiconductor junctions are electrically isolated from the base allowing common heatsinks and compact designs. The insulating materials used between chip and base is carefully chosen so that the impedance is minimised. The Hirect range extends upto 350 amps and 2200 volts and is available in Diode-Diode, Diode-Thyristor and Thyristor-Thyristor configurations.

HIRECT has developed specialized power electronic equipments for a range of applications. Thyristor control constant voltage and constant current power supply are used by R & D organizations like BARC, CAT, IPR etc. Constant Current Regulators are being supplied for Airport runway lighting. These are used for guidance during aircraft landing and take off at civil airports as well as air force stations.

The power Diodes available from Hirect Include Standard Rectifier diodes starting from 6Amps to 6000Amp It(av), with voltages upto 4800V(piv).
