THE Hydrocyclone is a hydraulic classification device. The feed suspension enters the feed chamber through the tangential feed adapter. As the feed stream spirals down to the cone from the cylindrical feed chamber ,oversized material is thrown to the walls of the cone by centrifugal force and discharges from the cone through the adjustable rubber apex value.The main body of liquid containing the fines spirals back up the center of the cone and exits through a vortex finder.As the overflow steam leaves the upper end of the vortex finder it discharges to an overflow pipeelbow. Apex valves may be of the tubular or disc depending on separation criteria. Depending on the critical dimensions of the machine size analysis of the feed, viscosity of the feed and feed inlet pressure, it is possible to make separations in the range 40 to 120 microns; with feed concentrations from 2% to 25% by Weight. Hydrocyclones are available with Replaceable rubber liners at wearing areas like Apex & Feed; this makes it extremely easy to replace the liners within few hours of down time and thus our Hydrocyclones are largely deployed in abrasive & wear prone slurry applications like Sand Washing, Rock Phosphate beneficiation etc. Hydrocyclones are available to tackle flow rates from as low as 150 LPM to Highest volumetric flows of 5500 LPM as per the clients requirement.
