Directions for use: Adults and children 6 years of age and older : Use once a day after brushing teeth with a toothpaste. A mouth ulcer occurs on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. The most common causes of mouth ulcers are stress, overconsumption of acidic foods, or vitamin deficiencies. An oral antiulcerant eases the discomfort caused due to mouth ulcers. ICPA offers three oral anti-ulcerants – Hexigel, Mucopain, and Trioplast. Hexigel contains chlorhexidine gluconate 1% gel which by virtue of its antibacterial action ensures rapid healing of ulcers and is also prescribed in localized gingivitis. Mucopain contains benzocaine 20% which is a local anesthetic. Benzocaine offers instant mucosal pain relief from oral ulcers and oral mucosal injuries. Trioplast contains triamcinolone 0.1% wv topical gel, which is a topical corticosteroid. Trioplast combines the benefits of triamcinolone with superior orabase technology to ensure superior adhesion and relief of anti-inflammatory ulcers.

Gum Paints can be used to provide relief from inflamed and bleeding gums, cold sores, and mouth ulcers. ICPA offers a variety of gum paints for you to recommend to your patients. They are easy to use, help solve gum issues and prevent plaque buildup. Our Zingisol Astringent Lotion includes zinc sulphate in an aqueous base that stops bleeding of gums by coagulating proteins. It has a cooling effect and provides prolonged relief from painful gums and ulcers. Pyosan gum paint includes superior ingredients like tannic acid glycerine, potassium iodide I.P., iodine I.P., thymol I.P., menthol I.P. and glycerine I.P.q.s.

Chlorhexidine gluconate solution I.P. equivalent to chlorhexidine gluconate 1.0% ww in pleasantly flavoured base. Mode of action: Hexigel kills local pathogenic irritants and helps ulcers to heal faster. In cases of oral hygiene, plaque inhibition and localized gingivitis (gingivitis confined to a specific area), Hexigel is to be brushed on the teeth once or twice daily. Indications: Gingivitis, oral candidiasis, aphthous and other oral ulcers, maintenance of oral hygiene. Directions: For oral hygiene, plaque inhibition and gingivitis: Brush your teeth with the gel once or twice a day.

This preparation is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its components . Because it contains a corticosteroid, the preparation is contraindicated in the presence of fungal, viral or bacterial infections of the mouth or throat.
