Jute is another fabric that we manufacture on bulk orders. It serves for the purpose of manufacturing sacks. The good aspect about this fabric is that it is eco-friendly which makes it easily recyclable. These sacks can be used for a variety of purposes but their most important purpose is storage. Woven sacks are primarily used in shops and warehouses to store perishable/non-perishable items that must be protected for a prolonged duration of time. We also fulfill bulk orders of woven sacks.

There are three types of fibers available namely plant fibers, animal fibers, and man-made fibers. Manmade fibers are derived from oil based products and therefore are not sustainable. Animal fibers like leather are derived after killing animals and thus are not environment friendly. The only eco-friendly, bio-degradable, and sustainable option left is the plant fibers like cotton, hemp, flax, linen, and jute. Cotton is very thirsty crop and requires copious amount of water. This plant is also vulnerable to disease and therefore requires heavy amount of pesticides, many of which are known to contain cancer causing chemicals. Finally, processing of cotton is complex and requires washing, boiling, bleaching all of which requires large amount of heat and water. Hemp, flax & linen are less damaging as compared to cotton but are suitable for other textiles such as table cloth, clothing, etc. Jute fibers originate from the woody stem of the corchorus plant, which can be spun into coarse strong threads. It has huge amounts of cellulose, which are produced by the jute stem. It is not subjected to same industrial process which is applied to cotton. The growth, processing and manufacturing of jute require far less water and pesticides than other plant fibers. Although water is used, it is used sparingly to keep the fibers moist. The manufacturing of jute therefore has a lower environmental impact. Jute also acts as a fertilizer wherever it is disposed and increases the fertility of the soil. Thus jute is the most environmentally friendly fiber starting from seed to fiber. It is 100% bio-degradable, recyclable and sustainable. The fiber is often called Hessian and is used extensively for fabrics in the packaging of agricultural and industrial commodities which require sacks and wrapping. It is grown in hot moist climates and is prevalent in India and Bangladesh. However, it is now used in the manufacturing of various other jute products like bags, folders, stationery items, etc. âGo Natural, Be Environmentally Responsibleâ
