Designed using latest technology, these scrubbers are sturdy and easy to maintain & operate. Our range is known for high performance and is a cost effective way to remove impurities and contaminants from air. They are used to collect both particulate and gaseous pollutants, but they are more effective in removing particles from gaseous pollutants. The subsequent turbulence of the water caused by its impaction with the high velocity air stream breaks the water into relatively minute particles (this process is called atomization ) & thoroughly mixes with the dust particles in the air stream. The clean air is vented out and the collected solids are precipitated downward to the slurry discharge or are retained for re-circulation in a recycling tank. Double Flap valves find their application as a substitute of Rotary Airlocks i.e. to allow flow of dust and maintain airlock across the valve. It is particularly suitable for handling highly abrasive and gritty materials along with high vacuum across the valve. Two small hoppers are mounted in-line and with some space between them in an air-tight casing. Two sets of flaps/ cones seat against the discharge openings of the hoppers. The flaps or cones are held on arms that are fulcrummed on two shafts. The shafts are provided with external counter weights to counter balance the weight of flap or cone, the connecting arms and also the material pressure on top. The counter weight is so selected that the flaps / cones close tightly against the seat rings fitted at the discharge end of the hoppers to avoid leakage. The flap/ cone mounting on the connecting arms self aligning type to make the sealing airtight. For cone dump valve, the seats are sometimes provided with additional rubber rings to ensure leakproofness. The drive mechanism of these valves comprises of a geared motor with cam or linkage that alternately turns the two shafts by some degree. This results in partial lowering of the flap pair or cone at two levels alternately. Thus, as the top flap/cone lowers, material above it drops to fill the intermediate chamber. Now the top flap/cone closes and after some pause the bottom flap/cone opens to allow the material to pass out of the valve. The above mechanism ensures that any one flap/cone remains closed at any point of time thereby ensuring airlock across the valve. Cyclonic separation is a method of removing particulates from an air, gas or liquid stream, without the use of filters, through vortex separation. Rotational effects and gravity are used to separate mixtures of solids and fluids. The method can also be used to separate fine droplets of liquid from a gaseous stream. Dust laden gas or air enters the collector tangentially and follows a spiral path to the bottom of the cone. The centrifugal force created by the circular flow throws the dust particles toward the wall of the cyclone. After striking the wall, the combination of the gravitational and swirling forces causes the dust to move downward to the dust outlet. Pressure drop for normal operation is about 3 – 4 inches of water. They are very efficient in collecting dust particles down to 30 microns in size. Efficiency of the equipment depends on the material being conveyed, material/air flow rates, and cyclone design. Depending upon the application, cyclone separator can be designed in single, twin and quad arrangement and multiclone. Clariflocculator shall have two concentric tanks with inner tank serving as flocculation basin and outer tank serving as clarifier.The chemically dosed water is uniformly distributed over the surface of the flocculation compartment for effective utilization of the available volume for flocculation. The specially designed flocculating paddles enhance flocculation of the feed solids. As heavy particles settle to the bottom, the liquid flows radially outward and upward and the clarified liquid is discharged over a peripheral weir into the peripheral launder. The deposited sludge is raked to the bottom near the central pocket from which it can be easily discharged. Primary purpose of clarification is to remove relatively small quantity of fine suspended particles and produce clear effluent. Since the sludge handled is less, torque is less and they employ mechanism which is lighter in construction and drive head with lower torque. The basic concept of clarifier is, it consist of a tank, means for introducing the feed with minimum turbulence, a drive actuated rake mechanism for moving settled solids to discharge point, a means for removing thickened solids, and a means for removing clarified liquid. Bridge supported centrally driven thickeners are common up to 15 m dia side given figure shows a typical unit. The drive consist of a worm gear normally mounted on precision bearings and driven through one or more gear reduction by a motor. A vertical driving shaft is attached to the main gear. Normally two long and two short arms are attached to centre shaft. The long arms have sufficient blades to scrape the bottom twice per revolution. Short arms are provided to rake the inner area for times per revolution and balance mechanism. Cone scrapers are bolted to the centre shaft to prevent plugging of bottom discharge cone.
