The machine is mounted on an internal expansion chuck assembly which can be adjusted as per the inner diameter of the bore. Reference can be taken from the same bore or any external reference too.   It can be used to create a flat surface, slots, pockets and keyways. The machine is equipped with a small dia end mill, which is generally electrically driven, but pneumatic and hydraulic drive options can also be made available. The linear travel can be manual or auto, as desired. The machines are compact and can be mounted on any part along the axis of the shaft as desired. It can also be mounted at an angle to mill multiple keyways, maintaining the certain angle with respect to each other.
