The Single Point Diamond Dresser is more versatile dressing tool, which is used for turning and dressing of grinding wheel. They are made of carefully selected raw diamonds mounted in holders by means of special bonds. The dressing tool takes care of two main functions, it removes abrasive grains which have become completely worn out, and it recreates the correct geometric shape of the grinding wheel. We offer 3 grades to refinish the wheel, when the wheel becomes dull. The pores between the grains become loaded with the material ground.   The selection of the diamonds depends upon the dimension of grinding wheel, its hardness grit size, abrasive type, and individual dressing operation. We recommend the following thumb rule for selecting the size of diamond (Radius of wheel+width) x 0.004 = Carat size of diamond (1 Carat = 0.2 gm)

These dressers are as good as Multi Diamond tool in which the row of diamonds is fitted into the circumference of roller bodies at a regular distance apart. After one row of diamond become flat/worn, by turning the roller further new tips are used for dressing, thus ensuring clean equal dressing. A special process is used to select the needle diamonds and natural diamonds for these types of Roller Dressers. Relatively small diamonds are used. A Multi Point Diamond Dresser in which sharp natural diamonds are set in a circular rating plane. As soon as the diamonds on the indexed position are completely Adjusted on the shank for new points. Shanks for the crown are made to customer’s specifications.   APPLICATIONS: All types of large wheels where fine truing is considered important. Specially recommended for cylindrical grinders. ADVANTAGES: The diamonds can be completely used up and resetting is redundant. Since two or more diamonds come in contact with the wheel the work load on the diamonds is divided and the diamonds last longer. A large area of the wheel is dressed more efficiently in a relatively shorter time than a single point. As several points are in use simultaneously the feed may be safely increased. Finer finish is obtained on the wheel due to the crystal shape of the diamonds employed. Can be used for side dressing.   SIZES: MIC-24 with 24 Diamonds for wheel size up to 600 mm diameter wheel. Multi Point Diamond Dressers consists of number of natural diamonds of a good crystal character fixed into a special wear resistant bond. The diamonds can be arranged in different pattern in single layers or multiple layers depending upon the field of operation. Several diamond points in contact with the wheel face reduce the unit pressure on each point resulting in a longer tool life with full utilization. Multipoint is used for large wide grinding wheels. Set the Multipoint tool into the center of the grinding wheel. Depth of cut should not exceed more than 0.01-0.04 mm. Use plenty of coolant to increase the tool life. With this type of tool, the dressing work is carried out by several small diamonds which together result in excellent performance. To achieve good results, the diamond particles must have at least double the grinding wheel grain to be dressed. Tools with higher diamond content are more efficient in this case.
