TECHNICAL DATA Borosil Brand sintered glassware is used for the filtration of liquids and gases in the laboratory. It incorporates a porous glass disc as a filter media, which is non corrosive and reusable. It is also used for gas washing, dispersion and absorption. Sintered disc is manufactured by crushing Borosil brand glass, powdering, cleaning, separating into various mesh sizes and then fusing together in the form of a disc. The sintered disc is graded into 5 grades -G1, G2, G3, G4 and G5. The grades are classified by maximum pore size, which is obtained by measuring pressure at which the first air bubble breaks away from filter under certain conditions. The pressure differential is then used to calculate the equivalent capillary diameters in microns.

Sight Glasses are extensively used in Metallic and Won Transparent Process Piping for monitoring the Flowof Liquid. Construction : The Assembly consists of a Borosilicate Glass Pipe Sondwiched between Top and Bottom PTFE Bushes and enclosed in o paired MS Frame. The contact parts for Process Fluid are only Glass & PTFE. Optionally Frames in Stainless Steel are also available or request. Sizes : The Sight Gloss Assemblies are available in sizes from 1" NB to 6" NB with End Flanged Drilled to ASA 150/ "F" Table or "D" Table etc, as per clients choice. These assemblies are suitable for Full Vacuum and Temperatures upto 200 °C.

Conventionally Membrane holders are used for filtration of small volumes of pharmaceutical preparations, opthalmic solutions etc through sterile membranes viz. 0.45 or 0.2 Micron. The membrane holder assembly is offered in SS316L with mirror polished internal surfaces. The Internals contain a perforated support and a flow distribution plate. The assembly can be tightened with 6 nos specially provided bolts. Sealing is provided by food grade Silicone O rings. Our membrane holders can also be offered with cleanable SS316 filter disc of 2 micron over which the sterile disposable membrane is placed. This helps the user to conduct pre-filtration as well as sterile filtration in a single pass.
