Introduction about Sangam Steel
This feature rich plant also ensured the Sangam Group’s speedy growth from a relatively new player in the market to the quality steel manufacturers with the capacity to produce 0.5 million ton Steel per annum. Plant production is backed with 0.3 million TPA melting capacity of two 40 MT induction Furnace and Concast machine for billet production.
The Sangam Steel created a revolution in terms of Re-rolling capacity. Our plant is approved under the THERMEX Process licensed from HSE GMBH Germany, and it is producing under the brand name SANGAM TMX 550 ISI. The bars have a unique blend of strength and ductility which make them safer and economical. The total capacity of our rolling mills are 0.5 million TPA of TMT Bars. The Plant facility is approved with BIS (ISI) regn. As per IS: 1786-2008 for our complete range of TMT Fe-500, Fe-550, Fe-500D, and Fe-550D. The plant is also having the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification for our complete product range.
We produce TMT section from 08mm to 40mm from Billets (ISI) with highest quality standards.
Sangam Steel has always strived to produce the finest steel in the world. To accomplish this, we have adopted a unique process of making quality Direct Reduced Iron through SKIBIT process. This process uses only high-grade iron ore. Through a Static Klin Reduction process the iron ore is then transformed into high quality sponge iron. This is then briquetted into cylindrical shape for easy melting in steel shops. At Sangam Steel we also house a beneficiation plant with a capacity of 2000 tons per day that produces high quality iron ore. The usage of the most advanced technology helps in keeping emissions low and optimise every process in the plant to be energy efficient thus making our production eco-friendly.

Our unique features of the plant are
Sangam Steel has melting capacity backed by 40MT two induction furnace which ensures uniform chemistry for heat size of 40MT, so that one batch of 40MT is having same chemical composition in the finished product.
The plant is equipped with Descalar before roughing mill, it removes all the scale from the billets which is created because of high water pressure.
The plant is having fully automatic mill, from billet feeding to furnace to finished product – TMT and bounding on cooling bed without any manual handling with total PLC control.
This mill is automatic, no twist mill having combination of vertical and horizontal stands so the billets do not get twisted in the roughing and intermediate mill which generally happens in other Horizontal mill. This improves product quality.
The continuous mill has 18 numbers continuous stands without reapiter and roughing stands which generally is there in other TMT mills.
The rib pattern on sangam steel TMT rebars is of superior quality and high standards as the grove cutting on all the passes is done on CNC machine in sangam steel inhouse work shop. This improves uniform weight throughout at the length of the bars and also offers better bonding of steel with concrete.
All the above features improves quality of rebars from Sangam Steel rolling mill and the elongation is higher than the other TMT manufacturer for all the sizes and throughout the length of the bars.

Higher Strength- Sangam Steel TMT Bars have much higher Yield Strength and Tensile Strength values compared to normal TMT Bars. This ensures igher material savings in construction and thus can easily cut the overall costs by optimizing consumption.
Better Bond Strength with Concrete- Sangam Steel TMT Bars have a uniform and precise rib pattern offers better bonding strength. This ensures better bonding of steel with concrete and increases strength of construction.
Higher Bendability- During construction, the bars have to bent and welded into a mesh, which makes it necessary for the bars to be highly ductile. The tough outer surface of tempered martensite and the soft inner core of ferrite and pearlite of Sangam 500 TMX TMT Bars make the rebar bendable and ideal for construction.
Higher Weld Ability- Sangam Steel TMT Bars have low carbon content which gives it superior weld ability. Also, no pre-warming and post-welding is required in manual arc welding.
