Specially formulated silicone oils and compounds act as very effective mold release agents. They prevent bonding with the surface and improve the surface finish of the cured resins. As silicone chemistries have inherently high temperature stability, they are ideal for plastic injection molding machines. As silicones have very low surface tension they help facilitate release in pressure sensitive label applications.
