Fishplate, splice bar or joint bar is a metal bar that is bolted to the ends of two rails to join them together in a track. These are made from special steel.

These are designed to fix rails with castings used on PSC sleepers, for holding rail more firmly in position with the concrete sleepers. It is made of spring steel.
