Technical Descriptions Suitable for : Concrete Dense Natural Stone How to Install : 1)Drill a hole in the base material using a carbide drill bit of same diameter as the nominal diameter of the anchor to be installed. To ensure proper and secure fit, the hole drilled in the concrete should be the same diameter as the thread on the concrete wedge anchor. 2)Drill the hole to the specified embedment depth and blow it clean using compressed air blower or a brush. Overhead installations need not be blown clean. Alternatively, drill the hole deep enough to accommodate embedment depth and dust from drilling. 3)Assemble the anchor with nut and washer so that the top of the nut is flush with the top of the anchor. Place the Welfast Wedge Anchor in the fixture and drive into the hole using a hammer until washer and nut are tight against the fixture. The anchor must be driven until at least six threads are below the surface of the fixture. 4)Tighten the nut to the recommended installation torque. 5)Using a proper sized hammer, set pin with several accurate strikes on the head of the pin until the pin is flush with the top of the anchor. The concrete anchor is now properly set eliminating the need to torque the nut to set the anchor.

Center the adapter into the drill's chuck to ensure that adaptor does not wander. 2)Put on the safety glasses to protect your eyes. 3)Inspect the hex end of the adaptor for cleanliness. If metal shavings are built up inside the tip, insert the drilling end of the screw into the cavity of the hex head while holding the trigger of the drill. 4)Place a self-drilling screw into the hex head adapter. 5)Depress the trigger of the drill slowly, while the drilling tip of the screw rests against the metal. Increase the speed of the drill when the screw finds its center. 6)Stop drilling when the head of the self drilling screw tightens against the surface of the metal. If the drill you are using does not have a clutch, pay close attention to the screw head, as too much pressure will either snap the screw of strip the threads formed in the metal by the screw. 7)Perform Step 3 before you install another self drilling screw.
