Increase the speed of the drill when the screw finds its center. 6)Stop drilling when the head of the self drilling screw tightens against the surface of the metal. Overhead installations need not be blown clean. Alternatively, drill the hole deep enough to accommodate embedment depth and dust from drilling. 3)Assemble the anchor with nut and washer so that the top of the nut is flush with the top of the anchor. Place the Welfast Wedge Anchor in the fixture and drive into the hole using a hammer until washer and nut are tight against the fixture. The anchor must be driven until at least six threads are below the surface of the fixture. 4)Tighten the nut to the recommended installation torque. 5)Using a proper sized hammer, set pin with several accurate strikes on the head of the pin until the pin is flush with the top of the anchor. The concrete anchor is now properly set eliminating the need to torque the nut to set the anchor.
