Peek is part of a family of polyarylether ketones (PAEK) but the peek acronym is most recognized. Peek poymers have a softening temperataure of 175 – 200oC and a melting temperataure of 350oC. Peek material complies with FDA regulation 21 CAR 177-2415 for repeated food contact. For hostile environments, PEEK is a high strength alternative to fluoropolymers.
