In a pharmaceutical plant, space is one of the biggest constraints and therefore Storage Cabinets have become an important necessity. Pharmachine Storage Cabinets are well designed to prevent damage to Tooling during handling (which is the cause for 80% of damages to Toolings) and transportation. These Storage Cabinets help Tablet Press operator to systematically index the Toolings, which makes it easy for its identification and helps to obtain correct Toolings as and when required without wasting much time. Tablet production and processing area usually generate dust and therefore Tooling will remain free from dust pollution when they are kept inside the well designed Storage Cabinets. Storage Cabinets also essentially prevents Tooling from rusting when HVAC system is shut down during non-production hours.   Storage Cabinets can be supplied either in Mild Steel construction whose surface will be given oven baked paint or with Stainless Steel material which will be given mirror polished finish.   Either 9 or 12 drawers can be supplied with each Storage Cabinet based on Tablet Compression Machine configuration in terms of number of stations. The 12-drawer Cabinet can accommodate 4 trays in each drawer (Total = 4 x 12 = 48 trays) and the 9-drawer Cabinet can accommodate 8 trays in each drawer (Total = 8 x 9 = 72 trays). Further, each tray can accommodate 8 sets of ‘D’ Tooling or 11 sets of ‘B’ Tooling wherein Toolings are stored horizontally. The trays are made from ABS plastic and have a standard dimension of 304 x 304 mm (12” x 12”).    

Pharmachine can also provide Rotating Head Punch which helps in extending the life of the shaped Punches by offering less friction at a single contact point which puts less wear on the head of the punch, effectively enhancing longevity of the Tool life. The Rotating Head is specially designed for shaped Tooling which require fixed key positions. Basically, rotating head is a two-part punch configuration. In this design configuration, head of the punch rotates independently with respect to the keyed Punch body. Therefore, this results in creation of less friction between the Cam and the Punch Head which reduces wear and tear in shaped Punches with fixed key position because the punch head gets hit by the Cam repeatedly on the same spot which is not the case when Rotating Head Punch is put into use. The other big benefit besides extended life of the Rotating Punch is the possibility to increase the speed of the Tablet Press.

Pharmachine has been manufacturing Multi-Tip Tooling for over 15 years now and can offer customers different varieties and configurationsof Multi-Tip Tooling to ensure uniformity of tablet weights during the Tablet Compression process. The biggest advantage of using Multi-Tip Toolings is increased production per tablet machine per unit space per unit time because Multi-Tip Tooling can give you an average of 50-100% higher production. Ironically, many people have misunderstood that Multi-Tip Tooling is a complex proposition and that replacement costs are very high. However, the real fact is that ‘Pharmachine’ has made Multi-Tip Tooling easy to use as with a simplified design with ‘tips’ that can be very conveniently replaced without the need to replace the entire Punch making it easy and economical. Multi-Tip Tooling is considered an economical option compared to high capital cost of investing on a new Tablet Press besides the additional space needed for such installation and extra operational and maintenance costs that are involved. Therefore, Multi-Tip Tooling is the right answer and makes more economic sense if you need to produce additional volume of tablets due to seasonal trends or export orders that are not regular in nature.

This is a Rotary Tablet Press built as per current GMP standards and is robust in construction. This Tablet Press is very useful for R&D activities or it can also serve the purpose of producing small batches. This R&D Mini Press is provided with a central drive mechanism for keeping the Tablet Compression zone free from powder or dust for quick cleaning. The Tablet Press has also been provided with a pre-compression facility. The greatest flexibility of this Tablet Press is the availability of a multi-purpose Turret that can be used for all types of standard Toolings like ‘D’, ‘B’ and ‘BB’. The control panel of the Tablet Press is fitted with an AC speed variation system to operate from 3 to 30 rpm to give maximum flexibility of operation. If required, the Tablet Press can be fitted with force feeder system for powder feeding. With special attachments (optional) Adept Mini Tablet Press can be used to produce Bi-Layer Tablets also.

This is a high speed Tablet Press which can be fitted with ‘75 stations’ (of BB Tooling), that gives you a simple and efficient solution for production of large volumes of small sized tablets. The Adept Mega Press is capable of achieving production of up to 4 million tablets per shift with ‘B & BB’ Toolings based on the maximum hourly speed of 540,000 Tablets (depending upon the product characteristics). Adept Mega Press also comes with different turret sizes like 45 & 61 stations fitted with ‘D’ and ‘B’ type tooling respectively for larger diameter round tablets as well as oblong shaped tablets. Adept Mega Press has been specially designed with a direct central drive devoid of any worm and worm wheel mechanism like conventional Tablet Compression Machines which are normally fitted with a gear ring on the turret. ‘Adept Mega Press’ is designed in such a way that the ‘Turret’ central shaft is directly coupled with the gear box shaft with a keyless coupling which ensures ‘zero’ backlash and therefore the Tablet Press can mechanically operate at high speeds and the only limiting factor is the powder/granule flow ability from the hopper to the Die stations of the Turret. Adept Mega Press is designed for 10-Tons pre-compression load which operates hydraulically. These pressure rollers are fitted with high load capacity bearings which do require frequent lubrication. There are ‘8’ numbers wide rollers which are identical and interchangeable. No compression springs are used either on the pre-compression rollers or main compression rollers because hydraulic power is used which gives uniform pressure during powder compression. The hydraulic system also acts as a release mechanism in case of overload and can be used to measure (optional) the applied pressure in tons. Adept Mega Press is the only machine that has a common hopper which can be used either as a simple gravity feeder or a forced rotary feeder. In the case of Force Feeder the Tablet Press is fitted with a 3-chamber bottom driven rotary feeder mechanism fitted with an independent AC motor. An overflow indicator is provided in a rotary feeder to prevent jamming due to excess flow of powder from the hopper. In the case of gravity feeding the multi-chamber Feed Frame is made of food-grade polymer. Automatic lubrication for Turret bearing, Upper and Lower Punch head keeps machine operation smooth. As and when the Lower Punch is removed there is no need to set the plugs because they are fitted with spring loaded anti-rotation plugs. The above gives operator a lot of freedom. Upper and Lower Punch collision prevention system is also an important feature of this Tablet Press design. The weight control as well as the pre-compression and main compression forces can be set by control knobs provided on the front panel and the calibrations are achieved through dial indicators. All the controls are connected using universal joints without any chain and sprocket mechanism. On the control panel, all the parameters like machine speed, feeder speed, hydraulic pressure setting, lubrication and safety interlocks are controlled through a PLC. The PLC also displays pressure, tablet count, turret RPM, motor ampere and stores batch data as well as product recipe.

In this Tablet Deduster, compressed Tablets received from the Tablet Press are conveyed upwards and the de-dusting is achieved through vibration. On this Deduster, the tablets are gradually elevated upwards by adjustable vibration along perforated stainless steel tray to ensure that dust that is adhering to tablets is effectively discarded. Tablets free of dust, enhance performance in downstream operations like coating, bottle, strip or blister packaging. All contact parts are made of Stainless Steel 316 Grade and non contact parts are made of Stainless Steel 304 Grade. The Deduster is also provided with a see through cover made of acrylic at the top of the unit. Vacuum nozzles are provided to remove dust through a Dust Collection / Extraction Machine (optional). The Standard Deduster conveys/dusts the tablets for approx. 1 meter. A bigger model which conveys/dusts the tablets for approx. 3 meter is also available.

Pharmachine offers ‘Dust Collector’ in an all Stainless Steel construction with contact part made of Stainless Steel 316 Grade (AISI quality) specifically for the Pharmaceutical Industry which enables drug and pharmaceutical manufacturers to maintain high GMP standards. Wet mixing & dry blending, granulation, drying, sizing, tablet compression and tablet coating departments in the Pharmaceutical industry usually generate lot of dust causing not only hazards to operators working on the shop floor but at times are also responsible for cross contamination with different types of drugs. Pharmachine Auto Punch Polisher not only minimizes the dependence on the skill of the polishing operator but also gives you consistency in the quality of the surface finish of all the Punches & Dies, helping to achieve improved operational efficiency of the Tablet Compression Machine that gives high quality production on a continuous basis. The double sided Tablet Press has a provision of variable frequency drive (VFD) that facilitates smooth take off without any jerky motion during initial starting of the machine. While designing the Tablet Press, we have given major emphasis towards safety as well as reliability and durability of machine components and this concept can be understood from the following key features that are provided on the Adept Double Sided Tablet Press. Safety spring (compression type) is provided to avoid overload on punches and this provision also acts as a tonnage indicator.
