Oblique Plating Barrel is extensively used for plating small articles. We are a Maharashtra-based company, involved in manufacturing, supplying and exporting Oblique Plating Barrel. The Oblique Plating Barrel that we offer is fitted with MS fabricated barrel having suitable lining, tilting arrangement and a drive through motor and gear box. It is mounted on MS channel stand. Customers can avail Oblique Plating Barrel from us in different capacities.

This comprises of a Barrel of PolypropylenePerspex of size 11 ½ “x 6” approx and is suited for a load of 3 to 5 kgs. The unit is ideally meant for usage with a Tank of size 2’ x 2’ x 2’. The unit is powered with a 12 Volts D. C. Geared Motor Power is provided to the Motor from the Cathode Rod of the Tank by connecting the Terminals of the Motor.

These Barrels are designed for bulk or large volume plating, typically for hardware or such articles. These units are designed for quick and efficient handling of materials. These Barrels comprise of a M.S. Tank lined with suitable lining material and fitted with Polypropylene perforated Barrel, bearings, side panels and gear rings. All these remain inside the Barrel. The Barrel can be raised out of the Tank by a hand operated pinion sector mechanism. The plated parts are emptied out conveniently through a Funnel into a Bucket placed on a side rest. The Barrel is counter balanced to minimize the lifting effort. Cathode contacts are of flexible type, designed to give effective current distribution and to be easily removable for stripping.

Barrel plating is widely employed for the bulk processing of small to medium sized components. The types of barrel plating include perforated barrels which are immersed in plating solution and open ended solid barrels in which the solution, the anode and the work are contained inside the barrel (inclined). Barrels are available of suitable plastic material with perforation of 3mm, 1.6mm, or herringbone. The inclined plating barrels are available in four capacities 0.14 litres (Mini), 0.56 litres (Minor), 2.25 litres (Major) and 9/14 litres (Master). With the built in mechanism, the barrel is emptied efficiently, simply by hand with minimum effort, discharging the plated articles through a chute into a basket thus eliminating hoist. These barrels are ideally suited for use in limited space, and suitable for, most solutions except chrome. Wasteful build-up of metal inside the barrel is minimised by specially designed cathode contacts which are completely covered by the articles during deposition. The large capacity of the submerged barrel and the rapid turnaround of loads give the Numinik a greater rated output than most barrels of comparable size.

This fully immersed polypropylene / perspex barrel is suitable for 0.5 to 2 Kg. plating range. The barrel is powered by geared motor, 12 volts D.C. (with power drive) or A.C. geared motor. The tank of PP/PVC / Perspex fitted with Bus-Bars & Danglers. Optional : Heater, Air Agitation, Cathode Movement, Filter, Rectifier etc.    Medium BARRELS:  Medium portable barrels are in hexagonal design for two sizes viz: 3 to 5 kgs and 7 to 10 kgs. Octagonal Barrels are in bigger sizes from 15 kgs. onwards made of Acrylic, PP or CPVC, for most applications. Powered by low voltage DC geared motor (supplied with Power Drive) or AC motor single or three phase, geared or gearbox driven through V-belt, operated single (having two or four cathode contacts) or two operators or by hoist/transport mechanism. Mechanical disengaging arrangement for loading and unloading. STANDARD SIZES:  11” x 7”, 12” x 8”, 18” x 10”, 24” x 10”A/F or bigger sizes. Suitably lined-tank from 2’ x 1.5’ x 1.5’ onwards can also be made for these Barrels with Standard filltings.
