These are of oil-immersed, rotary vane type pumps. The rotor, with two spring loaded vanes, is mounted eccentric in the stator body. As the rotor, rotates the vanes sweep the crescent shape air space twice in each revolution. There is in-built non-return valve which prevents back flow of air.Manufactured from graded material, all moving parts are precisely machined, ground and assembled with close tolerances. Rotary Lobe Pumps are self-priming , valveless, positive displacement pumps. The even rotation of the rotor pair creates a vacuum on the priming side of the pump, which can be defined by the direction of rotation of the drive. This vacuum draws the liquid into the pump chamber. With further rotation, the pumped medium is conveyed past the pump wall into the pressure area.
