    • Thermopile solar radiation sensor; ISO 9060 ‘Second Class’ compliant: Solar resource assessment and monitoring Meteorological studies Environmental monitoring
    • 0 W/m2 to 2000 W/m2: 305 nm to 2800 nm

Hukseflux LP02 Pyranometer     Recommended for financeable resource assessment campaigns, the Hukseflux LP02 is a solar radiation sensor that is compliant with second class criteria from the ISO 9060 standard. This thermopile-based sensor measures global horizontal irradiance and has a spectrally flat response across the full solar spectrum. The LP02 generates a small voltage signal that is proportional to the solar radiation flux, expressed in W/m2. The LP02 is compatible with the SymphoniePLUS®3 Data Logger and SymphoniePRO® Data Logger when equipped with a Symphonie® SCM Card (SCM #6646, used with SymphoniePLUS3 or older) or Pro Signal Conditioning Module (P-SCM #9128, used with SymphoniePRO). This kit includes a calibration certificate and 5 m (16.4') cable.   Description Sensor type Thermopile solar radiation sensor; ISO 9060 ‘Second Class’ compliant Applications Solar resource assessment and monitoring Meteorological studies Environmental monitoring Sensor range 0 W/m2 to 2000 W/m2 Spectral range 305 nm to 2800 nm Instrument compatibility RNRG Symphonie loggers with Thermopile SCM (#6646) Logger measurement range 0 W/m2 to 1500W/m2 Output signal Signal type Microvolt proportional to total solar radiation Transfer function Included on calibration certificate; for use with RNRG Symphonie see application note "Using Thermopile Pyranometers on Symphonie Loggers" Accuracy Second Class per ISO 9060 Calibration Calibration sheet included with each sensor defines output in microvolts per Watt/square meter; traceable to World Radiometric Reference (WRR)Calibration uncertainty < 1.8% (k=2) as specified by Hukseflux Output signal range -0.1 mV to + 50 mV Drift Less than 1% per year Power requirements Power Required Zero (passive sensor) Installation Mounting Mounts to tower with RNRG tower top mounting platform (9104) or side mounting boom (6772) (plane of array capable) Tools required 5/32 inch (4 mm) Hex Key 5/16 inch (8 mm) wrench or nut driver #2 phillips screwdriver Environmental Operating temperature range -40 °C to 80 °C (-40 °F to 176 °F) Operating humidity range 0 to 100% Physical Connections Bare wire leads from cable connect directly to loggersee also logger user's manual for wiring diagram Cable length 5 m (16.4 feet) Weight 0.30 kg (0.66 lbs) Dimensions 85 mm X 60 mm (3.3 inches X 2.4 inches) Materials Cable Shielded 2 conductor Detector Thermopile Enclosure IP67 weatherproof anodized aluminum enclosure and stainless steel hardware
