...moreWind Direction Vanes
Wind direction data is an important component of any wind or solar resource assessment campaign, and it is also vital for power performance tests and site monitoring once a project is operational. RNRG offers both heated and unheated wind direction vanes, ensuring access to reliable wind direction data regardless of environmental conditions. NRG 200M Wind Vane NRG Systems’ 200M Wind Direction Vane brings significant upgrades to the proven design of our 200P Wind Direction Vane. NEW IN THE 200M No Dead Band: The 200M has 360° continuous measurement, whereas the 200P has an 8° max. dead band centered on 0°. Reduced Sensor Uncertainty: The 200M's sensor uncertainty is ±1.6° across virtually its full range, whereas the 200P's sensor uncertainty outside the dead band region is ±4.3°. Improved Vane Orientation Precision and Repeatability: The 200M's improved mounting system makes it easier to precisely determine sensor orientation once installed on a boom. Firmer Mounting Connection: The 200M's new mounting system enables a firmer connection between the vane and mounting boom, making it less likely that vane orientation will drift over time. Improved Protection Against Water and Dust Ingress: The 200M's bearing and electronics capsules are fully sealed against water and dust ingress, making it less likely that corrosion or dust will damage the sensor over time. Transparent Records of Sensor Response and Quality: Factory calibration certificates with sensor-specific scale and offset values will be available at no extra cost. Download Calibration Report MAINTAINED FROM THE 200P Proven Aerodynamic Performance and Robustness: The 200M utilizes the same black, UV-stabilized injection molded plastic vane wing and sensor body that the 200P has been proving in the field for decades. Easy Sensor Traceability: Individual unit serialization makes it easier to keep track of your wind vane's unique history and ties it to its sensor-specific slope and offset values determined during the manufacturing process or in a wind tunnel. Easy Compatibility: The 200M’s simple voltage output is compatible with all industry-standard data loggers, including legacy NRG loggers, and is designed to work seamlessly with the NRG SymphoniePRO® Data Logger. ...moreSPN1 Delta Sunshine Pyranometer
Delta Sunshine SPN1 Pyranometer The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer is a meteorological class solar radiation measurement instrument with a built-in heater, and is designed for long-term outdoor exposure. Overall accuracy: Global (Total) and Diffuse radiation ± 5% Daily Integrals± 5% ± 10 W.m-2 Hourly averages± 8% ± 10 W.m-2 Individual readingsAccuracy figures give 95% confidence limits, i.e. 95% of individual readings will be within stated limits under normal climactic conditions. Details Measures solar radiation and sunshine duration Global (Total) and Diffuse irradiance in W.m-2 DNI (Direct-Normal Irradiance) calculation WMO sunshine threshold: 120 W.m-2 direct beam No moving parts, shade rings or motorised tracking No routine adjustment or polar alignment Works at any latitude Precision ground glass dome The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer is a meteorological class solar radiation measurement instrument with a built-in heater, and is designed for long-term outdoor exposure. It is an affordable and effective alternative to shade-ring pyranometers, pyrheliometers and traditional sunshine recorders. The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer is exceptionally easy to use; it needs no routine adjustment or polar alignment and works at any latitude. The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer is protected by patents EP 1012633 and US 6417500. An internal heater keeps the pyranometer dome clear of dew, ice and snow down to -20°C (in still air conditions), ensuring reliable readings in difficult climatic conditions. Direct and Diffuse Radiation The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer uses an array of seven miniature thermopile sensors and a computer-generated shading pattern to measure the direct and diffuse components of incident solar radiation. The SPN1 Pyranometer computes direct radiation by subtracting the diffuse from the global (total) radiation. Sunshine Duration The WMO threshold for bright sunshine is 120 W.m-2 in a plane perpendicular to the direct solar beam. The SPN1 Pyranometer uses an algorithm based on the ratio of direct to diffuse radiation, combined with their absolute values, to estimate sunshine duration to within a few percent of the WMO standard. The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer does not need to be adjusted or repositioned to track the sun - a distinct advantage over devices with shadow rings. There are no complex electro-mechanical assemblies and no burnt paper tracks to interpret. Outputs and Logging The SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer provides 2 analogue voltage outputs for global and diffuse radiation, and a digital output for sunshine duration, which can be connected to data loggers, such as the Delta-T Devices DL2e and the compact GP1. Readings can also be obtained directly from the RS232 port and viewed/logged using the SunData software supplied.

...moreRM Young Vertical Anemometer
RM Young 27106T Vertical Anemometer Whether you are conducting a resource assessment campaign or managing an existing site, every stage of successful wind and solar energy projects depends on precise wind speed data. RK Systems offers numerous types of anemometers—including heated and vertical ones—to suit a variety of performance and application needs. Increasingly, wind farm developers and turbine manufacturers are seeking to understand the vertical component of wind velocity. The RM Young 27106T is a precision air speed measurement instrument designed to meet this need. This dynamic sensor responds specifically to the component of air flow that is parallel to the axis of its rotation. The RM Young 27106T interfaces with all Symphonie series data loggers. Data Loggers Data loggers are the core component of RNRG’s complete system approach to wind and solar measurement applications. Data are collected from readings of meteorological sensors and other devices and then stored in our loggers for either manual retrieval or automated delivery to the location of your choice. SymphoniePLUS3 Data Logger SymphoniePLUS3 is a proven 15-channel data logger tailored for wind resource assessment. Engineered to work seamlessly with our towers and sensors, SymphoniePLUS3 reliably collects and safely stores data in all weather conditions. The innovative design of SymphoniePLUS3 allows you to log time-stamped data from up to 15 sensors. Six counter (anemometer) channels and two analog wind direction channels are built-in, while three “flex” channels and the remaining four analog channels allow for numerous sensor configuration options depending on the requirements of your particular measurement campaign. Data is sampled every second, averaged and time-stamped every 10 minutes, and stored on an SD Card, 128MB. A real-time display and keypad are built into the logger to facilitate site visits. Stored data from the SymphoniePLUS3 can be routinely delivered anywhere in the world using the Symphonie iPackGPS communications and power supply module. Our next generation data logger, the SymphoniePRO® Data Logger, is available for renewable energy professionals requiring more advanced features and flexibility.
