Exclusive Features of our Buchholz Relay & Oil Surge Relay Body is made of single piece die cast aluminium alloy instead of casted CI body, in which micro cracks may give leakage at any time. No need to treat for porosity, since no micro cracks are developed. With mercury or magnetic reed switch; NO or NC contact as required. Built-in test facility for checking continuity of both - alarm and trip circuits. Available in 3 sizes for pipe diameter: 25 mm (GOR - 1) 50 mm (GOR - 2) 80 mm (GOR - 3) Compact & hence, low weight design with high efficiency. We also manufacture Oil Surge Relays for protection of O.L.T.C.
field failure relay

The field failure relay MRQ1protects synchronous generators against operation outside the stable operation area due to loss of excitation. When partial or complete loss of excitation occurs on a synchronous machine, reactive power flows from the system into the machine and the apparent impedance as viewed from the machine terminals goes into the negative X region in the R-X diagram.

Earth Leakage Relay

Earth leakage current give rise to temperature and progressive failure of insulation which leads to operating flash over. It is essential to detect earth leakage current well before they cross threshold limits and isolate the circuit. SYCON 770X Earth leakage Relay continuously detects the leakage current with the help of CBCT (Core Balance Current Transformer.) The CBCT is mounted externally. The current carrying cables (it may be 3 phase supply or 1 phase supply) are passed through the CBCT. CBCT detects the level of current and trip the device at set current & time.

The Buchholz Relay is one of the most essential protective devices to protect equipment such as transformer, capacitors, on-load tap changers, etc. It detects abnormal working of the components inside the equipment and consequently minimizes the spread of any damage to the equipment active part by disconnecting faulty apparatus before large scale damage occurs to the apparatus or other connected apparatus.

Thermistor Protection Relay

The Brain that provides round the clock protection for your electric motor The Thermistor Protection Relay TSDIN01 is used for tripping motors, transformers etc. whenever the excessive temperature developes in the winding. The Relay controlled by thermistors guarantee first of all the thermal overload protection of electrical machines. The switching point of the complete protection is specified by the nominal response temperature of the used thermistors. Appliances with two input circuits offer the possibility of warning and shut-off. The thermistor Protection Relay TSDIN01 can be combined with all thermistors with a characteristic curve according to DIN 44081 / 082 Function and Applications After mounting the thermistor detectors into e.g. the winding tips of the protected motors, the release is connected. The number of the connectable PTC according to DIN is only limited by its total resistance R25. If the temperature in one of the controlled parts or areas increases over the nominal response temperature of the respective PTC sensor e.g. by: Blocking rotor Aggravated start-up Counter current operation Under-voltage or phases break down So this becomes high resistive and the thermistor release shuts off the motor protection switch over a relay. Dependent on the type of release a switch-back occurs after cooling down of about 2 .. 5 K. For cases of application at which an automatic re-start is not suggestive or not acceptable, thermistor release device with power-on blocking are available. For this design has to be made a manual unlocking to re-start the machine after a thermal shut-off. Key Features: Various input voltages DIN Channel and chassis mounting Very compact size 1NC & 1 NO potential-free contacts.

We are offering relays. a relay is an electrically operated switch. Many relays use an electromagnet to operate a switching mechanism mechanically, but other operating principles are also used. Relays are used where it is necessary to control a circuit by a low-power signal (with complete electrical isolation between control and controlled circuits), or where several circuits must be controlled by one signal. The first relays were used in long distance telegraph circuits, repeating the signal coming in from one circuit and re-transmitting it to another. Relays were used extensively in telephone exchanges and early computers to perform logical operations. a type of relay that can handle the high power required to directly control an electric motor is called a contactor. Solid-state relays control power circuits with no moving, instead using a semiconductor device to perform switching. Relays with calibrated operating characteristics and sometimes multiple operating coils are used to protect electrical circuits from overload or faults; in modern electric power systems these functions are performed by digital instruments still called "protective relays"

Solid State Relay

A solid-state relay (SSR) is an electronic switching device that switches states when an external voltage is applied along its n-type and p-type junctions. SSR has a small control signal that controls a larger load current or voltage. It consists of a sensor which responds to an appropriate input (control signal), a solid-state electronic switching device which switches power to the load circuitry, and some coupling mechanism to enable the control signal to activate this switch without mechanical parts. The relay may be designed to switch either AC or DC to the load. It serves the same function as an electromechanical relay, but has no moving parts. Solid-state relays are composed of semiconductor materials, including thyristors and transistors. Solid-state relays have current ratings that extend from a few microamps for low-power packages up to around a hundred amps for high-power packages. Solid-state relays have extremely fast switching speeds usually ranging between 1 to 100 nanoseconds. Solid-state relays are not easily affected by contact wear. Solid-state relays have several shortcomings: a high susceptibility to damage (a relatively high vulnerability to overloads in comparison to electromechanical relays); limited switching arrangements (SPST switching); a need for finer tuning due to high "on" resistances.

Generation of electrical power in low voltage level is very much cost effective. Theoretically, this low voltage level power can be transmitted to the receiving end. This low voltage power if transmitted results in greater line current which indeed cause more line losses. But if the voltage level of a power is increased, the current of the power is reduced which causes reduction in ohmic or I2R losses in the system, reduction in cross sectional area of the conductor i.e. reduction in capital cost of the system and it also improves the voltage regulation of the system. Because of these, low level power must be stepped up for efficient electrical power transmission. This is done by step up transformer at the sending side of the power system network. As this high voltage power may not be distributed to the customers directly, this must be stepped down to the desired level at the receiving end with the help of step down transformer. Thus electrical power transformer thus plays a vital role in power transmission.
