Rubber gaskets are normally manufactured using rubber molding system as molding manner is considered for tight bonding of molecules of rubber in place of reduce gaskets. We advocate molded rubber gaskets for its nice cause. Rubber gaskets are synthetic according to client requirement and specs. Non-Asbestos Gaskets

Non-Asbestos Gaskets are made from a mixture of Aramid, Carbon Fiber, Mineral Fiber, Glass Fiber and NBR, SBR, EPDM, Hypalon Rubber. Vegetable fiber Gaskets are very low cost alternative and though economical will never give the same performance as the Aramid nonAsbestos Gaskets or even the old Asbestos Gaskets. Non-Asbestos Gaskets are also referred to as 100% AsbestosFree Gaskets. Recommend demanding proper certification for Product, Manufacturing Plant & Medium compatibility. Aramid based Gaskets offer 5X Times better performance than even CAF Gaskets. Inspite of this, Vegetable Fiber Gaskets being economically comparable to CAF are erroneously used. These Gasket Sheets manufactured by paper making techniques utilizing plant fibers and a glue-glycerine impregnation can only be used for sealing simple solutions with low pressure and low temperatures. Its maximum temperature limit is 250°F (120°C) and pressure (35 Bar). While, Aramid and Glass FIber Sheets can even go all the way upto 600 Deg C (API 607) certified and offer better acid and alkali protection. Aramid Sheets offer the best performance for general applications involving pressure of more than 50 Bar. Carbon Fiber based Sheets offer the best performance in Acidic environments. Metallic reinforcement is not required in nonAsbestos Gaskets. We offer Donit Tesnit (Made in Europe) 100% AsbestosFREE Certified nonAsbestos Gaskets. Asbestos Free Gaskets are similar to non-Asbestos Gaskets but if the Manufacturing Plant is not certified 100% Asbestos Free, these Asbestos Free Gaskets might contain traces of Asbestos. All nonAsbestos Gaskets are Asbestos Free Gaskets but all Asbestos Free Gaskets might not be nonAsbestos. Whether traces of Asbestos is acceptable or not in the product depends upon company policy. Most Manufacturers will provide a declaration certifying the Product as 100% Asbestos Free and the Manufacturing Plant also as 100% Asbestos Free for proper QC. The abscene of these certification or avoidance of using the term 100% can be due to traces of Asbestos in the product.

Rubber is perhaps the most common type of jointing. If you application involves potable (drinking) water you will require EPDM. Please visit the EPDM Gasket Page, by following the link on the left. If your application involves water you should consider using neoprene or EPDM. If you require a part with oil and fuel resistance, you should consider nitrile. The properties of the gasket will depend upon the type of rubber from which it is manufactured. Parts can be manufactured from the following rubbers: Natural, Neoprene, Nnitrile, EPDM, Silicone, Viton, Ethylene propylene, and Butyl . Rubbers can be used in a variety of working conditions, and are typically used for water, oils, chemicals; and other low-pressure fluid applications. Neoprene Rubber Gaskets Neoprene rubber gaskets (otherwise known as polychloroprene) exhibit good chemical inertia, and are commonly used in electrical installations and weather sealing applications. These joints are particularly suitable for use with water; be that salt or fresh water – although from drinking (potable) water it is better to use EPDM rubber. Remember that as a general rule you should select the thinnest material possible for your application. Nitrile Rubber Gaskets Nitrile gasketsare particularly suited for use with fats, oils, fuels, and other liquids contaminated by these; they can also be used at a range of temperatures (-40c to +120c depending on grade). Nitrile rubber is also known as Buna-N, Perbunan, or NBR rubber. Remember that as a general rule you should select the thinnest material possible for your application. Silicone Rubber Gaskets Silicone rubber gaskets are known for their chemical inertia and as such are useful in extreme environments, and temperatures from -55°C to +300°C. Due to their chemical stability they are also useful in the pharmaceutical and food processing industries. Remember that as a general rule you should select the thinnest material possible for your application. EPDM Rubber Gaskets EPDM rubber gaskets are used in anti-vibration, sealing, and electrical insulation applications. These parts are widely used in the water industry, are WRAS approved, and sutible for use with potable drinking water. EPDM is short for ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber. Remember that as a general rule you should select the thinnest material possible for your application. Viton Rubber Gaskets Viton rubber gaskets are used in the presence of aggressive chemicals, fuels, and explosive gases. Remember that as a general rule you should select the thinnest material possible for your application. Parts are available in a range of bore sizes and tables; and either full faced (with bolt holes) or inner bolt circle (IBC or ring type joints). Inseal International is one of the esteem manufacturers and exporters in Mumbai, India.
