A spray dryer is a device which takes a liquid stream and separates the solute or suspension as a solid and the solvent into a vapour. The solid is usually collected in a cyclone. Spray dryers can dry a product very quickly compared to other methods of drying. Scrubber provides aid in pollution control. It helps in removal of pollutants from a furnace fuel gas or from other gas streams. The polluted gas stream is brought into contact with the scrubbing liquid, by spraying the liquid, by forcing it through a pool of liquid, or by some other contact method, so as to remove the pollutants.

The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly about its axis. As the kiln rotates, material gradually moves down towards the lower end, and may undergo a certain amount of stirring and mixing.

The functioning of this reactor is similar to that of Jacketed Agitated Tank. The difference being that instead of a jacket there are coils welded on to the inner shell vessel itself. This spiral coils are sized and placed according to the temp required for reaction.

Unlike mixing tanks, these vessels or equipments are totally sealed from the atmosphere. Mixing tanks are designed to disperse two or more chemicals together.
