Silver Plating:
We have facility of Silver plating various sizes of parts in barrels & Racks. Silver plating offers highest electrical conductivity of all metals. Silver plating is best suited electrical contact characteristics, high electrical and thermal conductivity. Silver itself oxidizes rapidly hence has to be protected with anmanti-tarnish coat.
Tin Plating:
The tin-plating process is used extensively to protect both ferrous and nonferrous surfaces. Tin is a useful metal for the food processing industry since it is non-toxic, ductile and corrosion resistant. The excellent ductility of tin allows a tin coated bade metal sheet to be formed into a variety of shapes without damages to the surface tin layer. It provides sacrificial protection for copper, nickel and other non-ferrous metals, but not for steel. Tin is also widely used in the electronics industry because of its ability to protect the base metal from oxidation thus preserving its solderability. Tin can also be used as a substitute to Silver plating in Electrical and Switchgear Industry.
Zinc Plating:
Zinc Coating prevent oxidation of the protected metal by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode of this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not cause a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. Indeed the Zinc oxide, if undisturbed, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminum and stainless steels by their oxide layers. Brazing:
Brazing is metal-joining process whereby a filler metal is heated above and distributed between two or more close-fitting parts by capillary action. The filler metal is brought slightly above its melting (liquidus) temperature while protected by a suitable atmosphere, usually a flux. It then flows over the base metal (known as wetting) and is then cooled to join the workpieces together. Brazing has many advantages over other metal-joining techniques, such as welding. Since brazing does not melt the base metal of the joint, it allows much tighter control over tolerances and produces a clean joint without the need for secondary finishing. Additionally, dissimilar metals can be brazed. In general, brazing also produces less thermal distortion than welding due to the uniform heating of a brazes piece. Finally, brazing is easily adapted to mass production and it is easy to automate because the individual process parameters are less sensitive to variation.
