A less harmful powder which can be used instead of hazardous acid for cleaning the casting tree and giving it a shine as well as reducing the loss due to pickling is now available at Doit Industries by the name of Pickling Salt. This process takes all oxidation from the article, especially after casting of tree & chain and other ornaments at the time of Hand Soldering (Blackness).
