Nylon threads are made from High tenacity Nylon continuous filament yarns. Nylon sewing threads are made in primarily two varieties – Nylon 6 and Nylon 6-6 (also referred to as Nylon 6,6) and are available in 2-ply and 3-ply. Because of their high elasticity and resistance to temperature and abrasion,  they are best suited for high-speed sewing and stitching of leather materials. Dying of Nylon threads is also easier and more cost efficient as compared to polyester.
