However, to make a well-informed choice you need to, first, understand the difference between Groundwater and surface water. It is only when you understand the difference between these two types of water would you be able to pick a right water filter based on your needs. Ground water (water for bore wells, tube wells) typically has high TDS unlike surface waters (water from rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds), which have low TDS but may contain suspended and microbiological impurities. Groundwater with high TDS can be effectively treated with reverse osmosis water filtration system a.k.a the RO water purifier while surface waters can use a well-designed 3 stage UV water purifier system for effective purification

For automatic operation of hydrant, Water Spray and other water based systems, an automatic pumping arrangement is provided, so that the pumps operate and send pressurised water with adequate flow to the point of fire, facilitating early extinguishment.  The pumping arrangement typically consists of main electric driven pumpsets with standby diesel engine pumpsets (which will operate in case of power failure or failure of main pumpsets).  Jockey pumps are provided to maintain pressure in the system in case of minor leakages, temperature variation etc.  All the pumps are sequentially operated with necessary controls and instrumentation which includes MCC panels, pressure switches etc.  Sluice Valves, Non Return Valves, Strainers etc. are also provided as part of pumping arrangements.

Ro membranes, Reverse osmosis ( RO) is one of the most effective technologies to purify water which has high TDS levels of more than 500 ppm. Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a separation technology where dissolved impurities in water are separated by way of a semi permeable membrane (RO membrane) which works under high pressure. Constituents of dissolved solids and impurities (TDS) are calcium and magnesium salts, nitrates, iron, lead, fluorides, arsenic etc. Such dissolved impurities are usually found in ground water, i.e water that is drawn from beneath the surface of the earth. In cities, ground water is distributed by water tankers to areas where municipal pipelines are absent or where demand exceeds supply. While minerals including calcium and magnesium are good for the body in permissible limits, other impurities may cause harm in the long run.

Aerobic Treatment: T aerator bio-zone which is a combined fixed film reactor and active aeration system mounted on a horizontal shaft. The aerator provides a solid surface area for micro-organisms to attach themselves; these then feed on the organic matter present in the effluent. Rotation of the drums aerates the liquid. The bio-zone is self-cleansing and does not require extraneous pumping or sludge return. Final Settlement: The treated effluent then moves to the settlement area. This area contains a lamella parallel plate assembly for settling finer particles. The submersible pump removes sludge to the sludge storage compartment on a regular timed basis.

This water distillation unit is designed to give pyrogen free distilled water. This is needed practically in every laboratory, hospitals, research institution, industries, colleges, pathological lab and other many more labs where the distilled water is needed.Construction :The complete body is fabricated out of S.S. 304 grade material. A baffle is provided to avoid splashing of row water particles into condenser pipe. A cock is provided at water inlet to control the water flow inside the unit. The constant level attachment maintains water level inside boiling chamber and excessive water is thrown away. A lid is automatically sealed by water forming in a recess provided at the top of the boiling chamber. The flange of the lid rests in this ring. The cold water which enters in the coolant pipe condenses the steam into distilled water and preheated water gets into the boiling chamber. This reduces the electric consumption. The condenser pipe is easily removable for cleaning in condenser opening type.Heaters :The water still is fitted with self ejection type heating element which disconnects electric supply connector if still runs without water. Even though care should be taken not to run the still without sufficient water flow as the protective arrangement cannot be expected to work for several operations. The heating elements are easilt replaceable.The stated output of the still is approximate as it depends on supply voltage fluctuations.
