Deposits modified H-12 type tool steel with high hardness. The weld deposit has good resistance to abrasion, and performs well under high compressive loading as well as at elevated temperatures. The weld deposit is crack-free when used with recommended welding procedures. It is not recommended where resistance to fire-cracking is required. It is an excellent choice for hot strip mill rolls such as vertical edger rolls, leveler rolls, bell seats and crane wheels.
