Inspired by car seat trends, they made Rubberised Coir mattresses in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, using local resources. By 1965, Aerocom showcased its Rubberised Coir Mattresses, Mats, and Cushions at a Calcutta exhibition, disrupting the market where only Cotton and Rubberfoam mattresses were known. Recognizing the logistical advantage of a central location, another Rubberised Coir fibre unit was established in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in 1990. This time, all the plant and machinery were in-house, proudly “MADE IN INDIA,” driven by technical expertise in import substitutes. In 2014, an engineering unit was introduced, addressing the needs of the automobile and defence industries. In 2016, Aerocom further diversified its offerings, venturing into the production of Polyurethane Foam and Rebonded Foam, expanding its product portfolio and technological capabilities.
