A traditional EEG lasts approximately one half hour and provides a “snapshot” of your brain’s activity during the recording period. Video-EEG monitoring is an extended examination of the brain’s activity and includes two components: • VIDEO: A video camera will record all of your physical activity while you are on the EEG. This allows for us to detect seizures that occur while you are being monitored and see exactly what happens during a seizure. Technologists and nurses at CIIMS are specially trained in recognizing and responding to seizures. • EEG RECORDING: While undergoing video-EEG monitoring you will also have a continuous EEG recording. EEG recording enables us to detect seizure activity, even if you are not aware of it happening. This information indicates where in your brain seizures begin, thus helping us to diagnose the type of seizure you experience, as well as showing us how your brain functions during a seizure. C

We would like to present new method to remove wrinkles of the face, neck, up-lifting of flabby soft tissues and creation of new facial contours. APTOS threads are made of a monofiliment material called “Polypropylene” and this polypropylene is the same material which has been used for many years during routine surgery. These “APTOS Threads” are designed with unidirectional “cogs”. Once inserted under the skin, the “APTOS thread cogs” will open up and form a support structure for the tissue of the face, even during facial animation.

One of the most common reasons for an angiogram is to find out if there is a blockage of an artery that is causing your symptoms. For example, a blocked artery in the leg may cause pain in your leg when you walk, blocked kidney arteries may cause high blood pressure, blocked arteries to the brain may cause vision problems and weakness. An angiogram can determine exactly where the artery is blocked, how severe the blockage is, and what is causing the blockage. The two most common causes of blood arteries are a blood clot in the artery and atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). Another common reason for an angiogram is to see if you have an aneurysm. An aneurysm is an area of an artery that has ballooned out. Although other medical tests, such as physical examination, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) scan, or magnetic resonance (MR) can detect an aneurysm, an angiogram may be necessary to see it in detail and to plan treatment.
