Plastic mulch is a product used, in a similar fashion to mulch, to suppress weeds and conserve water in crop production and landscping. Crops grow through holes in thin plastic sheeting.       Plastic Mulching Film  is generally 1.1 to 1.5 mils thick, 4 to 6 Feet wide, in rolls of 1,000 to 4,000 feet long.    Plastic mulch functions to warm the soil, conserve moisture, and prevent nutrient leaching. Plastic mulch is often used in conjunction with drip irrigation.
