Neutral Displacement Relay
Neural displacement relay. This is a unit designed to monitor neutral of the power line. It is supposed that the voltage level of neutral and earth is same. But due to some leakage and the load current neutral gets potentially displaced from earth. This may result in hazard. our unit is fully based on optically insulated chip and with latest technology. unit is having bar graph display to indicate the potential displacement of neutral from earth. The in put is optically isolated from ip source. Operator can set the trip level of the neutral displacement using potentiometer available on the front. There is facility for pre alarm. Potential level for pre alarm before tripping is automatic below trip level. This will help to rectify the error in system before tripping. potential free contacts are provided for operating a tripping system. A preset trip delay of few second is provided. Unit will trip after the set delay which will avoid nuisance tripping. applications:- unit is useful to monitor a neutral level from earth potential . This can be used to monitor generator set neutral level. If this neutral shifts beyond certain limit this will damage the generator set. Neutral displacement relay can be used to monitor voltage level of the neutral of two different sources.
