It began in the year 1985, when a lady from Nasik, holy city in Maharashtra, with an aim to support her family financially, started making papad in a small house.She is Mrs. Chayya Ramchandra Joshi who started this Gruh Udyog firstly, by making Poha Papad. After getting good response from her neighbours and relatives, she also started making Nagali Papad, Batata Papad, Gahu Shevai, etc. She used to visit the schools and markets to sell her products.
