The RISH Ducer F11 F12 measuring transducer is used for frequency measurement. The output signal is proportional to measured frequency and is either a load - independent DC current or a load - independent DC voltage.

The purpose of the Tap position transducer is to convert tap position of transformers to equivalent analogue output. Outputs can be given as input to either RTU or indicator or recording instrument. Input variable and measuring range are programmed with the aid of a PC and the configuration software. The device has one input channel and two independent out puts.

The unit is a port powered two-channel (half-duplex) RS-485 to RS-232 converter. It converts the balanced halfduplex RS-485 signals to TD and RD RS-232 lines. The unit is powered from the RS-232 data and handshake lines whether the lines are high or low. An external power supply can be connected to two terminals on the RS-485 connector if no handshake lines are available. Although the converter uses handshake lines to power itself, no handshaking is required to control the RS-485 driver. The RS-485 driver is automatically enabled during each spacing state on the RS-232 side. During the marking or idle state, the RS-485 driver is disabled and the data lines are held in the marking state by the 4.7k ohm pull-up and pull-down resistors. The value of these resistors may need to be changed to a different value when termination is used in order to maintain the proper DC bias during the idle state.

The analogue output signal is either an impressed current or superimposed voltage which is processed by other devices for purposes of displaying, recording and or regulating a constant. Input measuring range is programmable. It is programmed with the aid of PC and corresponding software. Other parameters relating to the analogue output, transmission mode, operating sense and the open-circuit supervision can also be programmed. Moving iron meters indicate rms-values practically independent of waveform even of high harmonics. MPR is an auxiliary relay and it should be used along with the motor starter only. The effective working of MPR will depend on efficient working of electromagnetic motor starter. Before installing MPR check whether the motor starter is operating perfectly by starting the motor with "START" push button and switching it off by "OFF" push button. If motor does not "START" or "STOP" on respective operations, the starter needs to be serviced. Do not install MPR with faulty motor starter.

Current transformers convert an alternating current usually high in to a proportional lower one, depending on their use. Measurement type CTs are required to transform the primary current, at various classes of accuracy, as specified by the class designation, over a current range from 1 to 120 percent of its rated primary ratio. The design of this type of transformer requires the inclusion of a core and winding which will when connected to its rated burden; perform within the limits of error as indicated by the standard’s specification. It is an advantage for a measurement type transformer to saturate above this range, which provides a protection against damage to instruments by limiting the secondary current when surge currents or faults appear in the primary circuit.
