Aimil Visco 2000 Features: The Aimil Visco 2000 Viscometer is specially designed to perform ASTM 04402 & BIS 73 high temperature testing of asphalt binders. The viscometer features an electrically heated thermal chamber with an auto - tuned PIO controller for precise regulation of asphalt temperatures up to 300C. supplied complete with a C25 titanium bob & stainless steel cup. Single point measurements can be performed via the instrument front panel and displayed on the built in keyboard or optional printer, eliminating the need for a PC. However, if more sophisticated tests and analysis is needed, the viscometer can be interfaced with a PC and can be used in conjunction with Aimil Visco software. The components are: • Heater casing - the surrounds the cup containing the sample which heats it. • Thermal cover (one half shown)- this cover the sample to maintain a uniform sample temperature. Primarily designed for grinding pigments. The material is ground at a specific speed by using a specific quantity of grinding media (steel balls) for a specific period. The equipment is used for making the ground cement samples in Lab in cement industries and in paint plastic and granite industries. Equipment is provided with revolution counter. Range of ball diameters available is 12.5mm dia to 40mm dia from 94 nos. to 43 nos. respectively should be ordered separately.

The apparatus consists of a glass tube with one end having bell mouth entrance connected to a constant head water tank and at the other end a valve is provided to vary the flow rate. The tank is of sufficient capacity to store water for conducting the test. A capillary tube is introduced centrally in the bell mouth for feeding dye from a small container placed at the top of tank, through polythene tubing. By varying the rate of flow, the reynold's number is changes. This also changes the type of flow. The pavement dynamic cone penetrometer (dcp) is a very robust instrument, designed for rapid in-situ evaluation of strength of sub- grade and the bases for roads & runway pavements. Where pavement layers have different strengths, the boundaries can be identified and the thickness of the layers determined. A typical test takes only a few minutes and the instrument therefore, provides a very efficient method of obtaining information which would normally require test-pits. Correlations have been established between measurements with dcp and california bearing ratio (cbr) so that the results can be interpreted and compared with cbr specifications for pavement design. Agreement is generally good over most of the range but differences are apparent at low values of cbr, especially for fine grained materials. It incorporates a 8kg weight dropping through a height of 575 mm and a 60°cone having a diameter of 20mm. It is supplied complete with assembly tools and weighs 20kg approx.
