We are offering internally heated air dryer. The drying unit has 2-vessels filled with activated alumina or molecular sieves desiccant. One vessel remains in drying cycle for 4 hours, while other vessel simultaneously regenerates at atmospheric pressure. Around 3% flow of dryer capacity is used as purge for regeneration. Electrical heaters are provided in a central finned stainless steel pipe in both drying vessels. Heating cycle is for 2 hours and in this time hot purge air increases desiccant temperature to around 1000c. At this temperature regeneration is complete (due to dry air purge). Dew point achieved is around (-) 400 c. If still lower dew point is required, air purging rate is slightly increased to 5% for (-) 600 c and to 7.5% for (-) 800 c dew point.

Working Principle Air Tray Dryers The tray dryers are heated by means of electrical, steam and oil as fired burners. The dryer cabinet is designed in such a way that air inside the dryer has minimum resistance at all the corners of the dryer. All the sides of the dryer from inside are made with rounded corners with maximum angle so as to have more slippage to air, resulting into less pressure drop across the corners. The outer body is also fabricated with rounded edges without steps from outside to have smooth finish. The inside fan & radiator / heaters are covered with SS / GI mesh to have safety in operation. The trays are polished to mirror finish. The trays with perforation are also supplied for bottle or vial dryers. Compressed air coming from the Receiver containing solid, liquid & vapour contaminants enters the Dryer through the Pre-filter (where solid & liquid contaminants are removed). It then passes through Oil Removal Filter and enters into Adsorption Tower A1 through a 3-way valve (CV-1) where it gets dried and then passes out of the Dryer through the After-filter. A part of this dry air passes through Tower A2 through the Purge Control Valve, where it picks up the moisture from the adsorbent thereby regenerating it and making it ready for the adsorption cycle. The purge air exhausts out of the Dryer through Purge Exhaust Valve (CV-2) of Tower A2.
