Onduline sheets are manufactured by impregnating organic cellulose fibres with bitumen under high temperature and pressure. The sheets are pre pigmented with special purpose resins. The impregnation of colour into the sheets is done using patented techniques that enable the sheets to retain their colour over a longer period of time even under harsh conditions. The patented manufacturing process ensures uniform bitumen penetration into the sheets providing an excellent dimensional stability to the product and thereby preventing delamination. To distribute the loads, planks or ladder should be laid flat and by the roof purlins to carry out maintenance and related work. All precautions should be taken and safety regulations must be observed and applied. Roof maintenance Maintenance of the roof is the responsibility of the owner. To ensure long life we recommend that the following maintenance procedures are carried out. • Remove moss and debris. Do not allow leaf debris to build up on the surface of the corrugated roofing sheets, the debris will form leaf mould which can soften the material and reduce the effective life of the product. • Check that branches are not in contact with the roof surface as wind generated movement can result in mechanical damage to the surface of the sheets. • Clean all rainwater gutters, down-pipes and gullies regularly ensuring efficient water run-offfrom the roof. • Maintain a good state of roof elements such as flashing, chimney stacks, etc. • Maintain a good state of the roof and its ventilation. SITE STORAGE ONDULINE is delivered io site on pallets of 150 to 420 sheets (depending on means oftransport and sheet specification) shrink wrapped. lt is not recommended to stack pallets. Sheets must be stored flat and covered at all times to protect against weather and dtlst. ln^hot climates ONDULINE must be protected from direct sunlight. HANDLING ONDULINE may be stored in freezing temperatures but installation should not be attempted in these conditions. ONDULINE should be lifted from the pallet, not dragged across it. RE-USE OF ONDULINE SHEETS ln the event of sheets having to be removed from a roof or side wall, the nails are extracted with an ordinary claw hammer levered against a piece of wood shaped to the corrugation. ONDULINE sheets thus recovered may be used again - an important economical aspect. PRECAUTIONS When using ONDULINE in co.nditions of high internal humidity,it is important to use a vapour barrier and adequate ventilation on the roof space. CONDITIONS OF SALE The color impregnation is long lasting, but weathering effects cannot be entirely discounted and will affect ONDULINE in the same way as they affect natural material roofs. Onduvilla corrugated tiles are designed to give roofs a pleasant look reminiscent of traditional clay tiles, while at tje same time being extremely loght, An exclusive 3 tone painting system ensures a natural texture on the tiles. These tiles are made of a single layer of organic fibres and bitumen combined with resin.

Another distinguished character is that the Sheet is extremely light in waight which result in significunt advantages in transportation, handling and installation as well as allowing fewer structural supports. It is easy to cut, shape and install and can used flat or cold formed into curved glazing bars and can be installed flat or cold curve to a minimum radius of 175 times the sheet thickness. SUNPAL is an advanced multiwall polycarbonate panel system that combines proven design, light transmission, thermal insulation and strength. Adhesives & Sealants Compatibility Although SUNTUF resists the majority of widely available adhesives and sealants for roof installations, some of the products are not chemically compatible with SUNTUF and are not allowed to be used in installations. Weather Resistance SUNTUF will resist all that nature has to offer. Wind will not buckle it. Hail bounces off. Extreme temperatures will not render or brittle it. Resistance to UV Radiation SUNTUF is manufactured with an integrated UV resistant layer that will not separate or peel over time. Accelerated weathering tests in laboratory conditions (2000 hours QUV, equivalent of 20 year of exposure) show a negligible decrease in light transmission, and invisible increase in yellowness index. Protection from the Harmful Effects of UV Radiation Exposure to Ultraviolet (UV) solar radiation is a well known and major health concern. In addition to skin cancer, premature aging has been associated with exposure to UV. SUNTUF sheets completely block out UV radiation. A comparison of the UV protection offered by SUNTUF and that offered by sunscreen cream 15 is depicted in the graph below. Note that no barrier is as effective as SUNTUF sheet. Activity under SUNTUF will be more protected than that offered by proper application of sunscreen, though the latter is sufficient in almost all cases.

Outdoor applications in seaside industries, mines, chemical plants and other chemically aggressive environments, can be challenging for any material, slowly corroding them and demanding a high level of maintenance, which is both costly and time consuming.
