These Machines are suitable for winding of Coils for Distribution and Ultra High Voltage Power Transformers ranging from 5MVA to 500 MVA. These machines are provided with a SCADA Software and can be programmed to stop & start the machine at the desired turn. Formertron Manufactures Horizontal Winding Machines ranging from 1 Ton to 25 Tons capacity. Customized Machines can be manufactured on request.

Formertron manufactures Vertical Winding Machine from 3 Ton to 50 Ton capacity. The Vertical Winding Machine is of two types as stated below:- Pit Type winding machines: Pit type winding machines are used for winding large size Transformer coils and are installed in a Pit. In a Pit Type Machine the Winder Head moves vertically making it convenient for the Operator to stand on the floor level during the winding process. Floor Type winding machines: Formertron manufactures Floor Type Winding Machine from 3 Ton to 50 Ton. These machines have two Platforms.i.e Operator Platform and Bobbin Platform which moves up and down through Hydraulic Scissor Lift. These types of machines are installed mainly where making of a pit is not possible. These machines can be moved to any desired location unlike the Pit type machine.

Formertron manufactures Shield Ring Taping machine consisting of a Taping head ring closely guided in the ID of an outer ring. The outer ring is mounted firmly on a fabricated and machined base. The outer ring has an opening of a segment and the Taping head has a removable segment for loading of the product to locate it centrally. The taping head is rotated by variable frequency drive (VFD) up to max. 200RPM.

FORMERTRON manufactures Inter-bay Motorized Trolley from 5 Ton Capacity to 40 Ton load carrying Capacity. These Trolleys are used for transferring of assembled Coils and Active Part (CCA) from one Bay to another. The trolley is fitted with non-metallic wheels to ensure that the epoxy coated flooring does not get damaged. The trolley can be easily maneuvered and is easy to operate by a single individual.

Formetron manufactures Looping machines from 600 to 4000mm variation in Loop length (required for making diamond coils of MV & HV Motors). The machine has end to end adjustable Pin arrangement. The machine is equipped with bobbin stand and Caliper Brake arrangement. Braking force and operation of Brake for each bobbin can be independently controlled from the Control Panel. The Control Panel has necessary controls including PLC and control gears for the Drive units. The Machine has Digital counter for easy readability. The basic system consists of. We manufacture Winding Mandrels for Transformer Coils and are suitable for Vertical as well as Horizontal Winding Machines. Formertron has manufactured Mandrels broadly with the below specifications. Our expanding mandrels are accurate to 1.5mm diametercylindricity across the entire working length of the mandrel and are known for their durability, accuracy and ease of use. Our unique manufacturing design eliminates coil buckling. The staggered placement and the contour of our ABS pads on the outermost surface of the mandrel eliminate the polygonal formation of coils during winding. An optional actuation tool for adjusting the mandrel from one diameter to another is also available to enhance the productivity by reducing the changeover time & efforts of the operator.

The Core BuildingStacking Table is installed to Stack Laminations, assemble the Core and to lift the Core vertically. Required numbers of manual jacks are provided on the limbs for adjusting the level of the Core. Formertron manufactures 3 limbs and 5 limbs Core Stacking Table from 5 Ton to 250 Ton Capacity suitable for 10MVA TO 500MVA Transformer. The stacking table is equipped with mechanized adjustments of the limbs to reduce setting time of adjusting limb center to center distance and window space of the Core to meet the design specifications. Adequate number of manual jacks are provided on the limbs for adjusting the level of the core. Appropriately designed supports are provided to support the droopingoverhanging laminations on sides. The Core tilting from horizontal to vertical position is done through lifting mechanism with the help of EOT Crane.

The vertical travel is accomplished through motor, gearbox, lead screw and nut arrangements. Vertical travel is synchronized to get smooth vertical movement of the entire platform and avoid tilting on any side. The drive arrangement such as geared motor and the Connecting Rods connect the 4 nuts and are mounted below the platform. The radial adjustment of the platform, (opening – closing) is accomplished through a wire rope drum pulley mechanism and linear motion Guide rails. The platform is in a four segment construction to maintain the circularity of the aperture.

The Coil Lifting Fixture is used to handle and move the individual or assembled transformer coil of diverse diameters, radial depths, lengths and weights in an organized way during the Phase Coil Assembly.
