A double block and bleed valve is often used for a more positive isolation of a process fluid from other equipment. It normally consists of 2 block valves and a bleed valve, which apart from being hugely space saving can also save on time during installation and maintenance process. When the process fluid is feeding the downstream equipment, the isolation valves 1 & 2 are opened and bleed valve 3 is closed.When the downstream equipment is to be isolated from the process fluid, the isolation valves 1 & 2 are closed and bleed valve 3 is opened.This is achieved by two Ball, Gate, Globe, Needle, etc valves placed back to back with a third "isolate" valve in the centre cavity. Uses: In some automatic shutdown systems, to stop material flow, such as in fuel gas system for burners. to provide isolation of hazardous material, temperature or pressure during equipment maintenance or shutdown process.

Parker's Refrigerating Specialties Division offers two types of manifolds for use in conjunction with their full line of Safety Relief Valves. The M1 Inline Manifold comes in sizes ranging from 12" to 1-14" (13mm to 20mm), and it is for use with the SR and SRH Relief Valves. The M2, M3 and M4 Dual Stop Manifolds are for use with Parker's H2, H3, H4 and H5 Relief Valves, and they are available from 34" to 1-14" (20mm to 32mm). All Safety Relief Manifolds are designed to comply with ASHRAE and IIAR standards.
