This metal detector unit is manufactured from stainless throughout to provide a hygienic easily cleaned inspection; a robust stainless steel reject flap is operated by a high- speed electrical solenoid for clean, precise rejection of contaminated product with minimum waste. This metal detector chute can be quickly and easily dismantled for routine cleaning and product changeover. The tablet metal detector is designed for simple adaptation and flexible, efficient operation on the line. The complete unit takes up minimum system length. the tablet metal detectors incorporates a simplified and refined design of automatic balance coil principle which eliminates all setting up controls and permits long consistent performance. The metal detector consists of an electrical coil mounted in stainless steel box with a central opening or aperture. A teflon chute passes through the aperture on an incline, down which tablets flow. The tablets can be fed directly from a tablet press, or after a detester. The tablets passed from the chute through a reject flap which diverts contaminated tablets into a reject flap which diverts contaminated tablets into reject containers and allows good tablets to flow through.
