A J-type thermocouple (IronConstantan) or Pt100 RTD allows a range of 0 - 400 °C while a K-type thermocouple (ChromelAlumel) affords a higher range from 0 to 1200 °C. C961 features a 5-LED solid state deviation indicator on the front of the instrument to show deviation from the set point.
