Butterfly Dampers are available as motorized, pneumatic or hand operated units. They can be supplied with accurate positioning actuators or as a simple open I closed configuration. The shaft stubs are bolted to the robust damper blade.This allows the flap to be replaced easily. Sealing strips are fitted to the damper casing and the damper blade closes against the strip.The damper blade and casing flanges are laser cut allowingfor precision fitting holes and accurate alignment ofthe shaft stubs.The shaft stubs are fitted with stuffing glands to sealagainst a pressure differential where necessary. The shaft stubs are bearing mounted and the non driven shaft can be fitted with limit switches. Standard sizes are available to match standard nominal bore ducting or pipe work but non-standard diameters can be manufactured to suit.This is particularly relevant where an existing damper needs to be replaced. Material of construction is mild steel. Stainless steel and high temperature versions with castable lining are available on request.

All seats Peroxide Cured as standard to yield the best elastic properties and give enhanced seat life. Disc stem engagement is achieved by a precision machined "Double D" engagement. This method provides all the advantages of one-piece stemdisc connection. Also eliminates any disadvantages associated with other methods of stemdisc engagement such as taper pins, disc retaining screws etc. Superior Stem Retention System: stem is securely retained in the body with a stainless steel washer and a heavy-duty circlip, providing "Blow Out Proof" stem assembly. The design provides for easy on-site disassembly for quick seat replacement. Double "O" rings moulded in the seat at the seatdiscstem junction achieve reliable primary and secondary sealing at the stem. BodyFlange sealing achieved by built-in O ring serving as a flange gasket. All valves designed for installation between ANSI Class 125150 flanges, DIN 2501 PN10PN16 and BS10 Table D and E. Top flange as per ISO 5211 for direct mounting of gear operators and actuators.
