Description of Rustgard: Rustgard comes as a single coat or two coat application, depending on the requirements and the areas of application : Rustgard (RG-010): This is the 1st coat application product. This is a primer coat applied directly to the rusted surface and it reacts chemically with the rust and changes it to a non-corrosive matrix. Additionally, on drying, it forms a tenacious polymer coating, sealing the surface from the elements. On coating rusted mild steel surface with RG-010, the colour changes from initial white colour to a blue-black colour within 20 to 25 minutes and after 60mins, it turns completely black or brown in colour depending on the nature of the rust.
