NMP softgel capsules are a dosage form of micronized progesterone which is chemically identical to progesterone of ovarian origin. Miconization increases the oral bioavailability of progesterone. NMP through vaginal route, is indicated to provide luteal support during assisted reproductive techniques and in luteal phase defects, threatened abortion / recurrent abortion with proven luteal phase insufficiency/ defects, oocyte donation programme and to prevent pre-term delivery.  By oral route NMP is indicated in the treatment of menstrual irregularities, for prevention of endometrial hyperplasia in non-hysterectomised postmenopausal women who are receiving oestrogen as HRT and in premenstrual syndrome.
