Union assembly ball valve is manufactured from polypropylene a chemically inert thermoplastic. Union assembly ball valve is specially suited for drip irrigation system and other water flow control. Weekly Once a week perform a manual back flush, make sure that the differential pressure is below 0.25 bar (4 psi), after the back flush. 2. Monthly Close valves at the inlet and outlet of filters. Release pressure within the filter and open the top filling port. Inspect media level and its cleanliness. If media is missing add to required level. If the media is not effective anymore (long usage, or tough caking), perform chlorination treatment (see clause 3 bellow) or according to the following instructions. REPLACING THE FILTER’S MEDIA Replace the gravel when the amount of dirt (that cannot be back flushed), prevents proper functioning of the filter. Close all the valves. Open the filter drain plug, to release the pressure and to drain all the filter’s water. Open the top filling port. Open with care the side service ports. Empty the gravel from the filter, through the side service ports. Rinse the interior thoroughly with clean water. Inspect the double bottom of the filter including the partition and the “mushrooms” diffusers. Check the protective coating for damage and repair if necessary. Close the side service ports with covers and tighten properly. Fill the filter through the top filling port with the right amount of gravel – and shut the top filling port and tighten the cover properly. Check the Flow Limit Valve, or readjust the Throttle Valve (F) Back flush the filter with the new gravel to wash out dirt and dust, for at least two minutes. Open the valves for normal operation – (see installation) Maintenance Instructions General Notes : For efficient filtration the media should be crushed with sharp edges,. This dripper is a low flow emitter specially developed for well water agriculture applications where there is a high degree of suspended solids. It employs an extra-large flow path cross-section, a very long Omniflow labyrinth, and an elevated filter, which combine to create an agricultural dripper with unparalleled clogging resistance. THE OMNIFLOW ADVANTAGE This dripper emitter employs the patented Omniflow labyrinth which ensures consistent turbulence throughout the entire flow path, reducing settling of suspended solids in the water. LONG LABYRINTH This dripper has a very long labyrinth with a large cross-sectional area. The long flow path ensures a gradual drop in pressure over the entire emitter. It also ensures that gradual and unavoidable sedimentation on the labyrinth surface will not clog the emitter. ELEVATED FILTER This dripper has an elevated filter which has several benefits. The elevated filter draws from water that is closer to the centre of the pipe where water is traveling at high velocity. The higher velocity helps keep the filter surface clean. Also the elevation of the filter entrance inhibits solids from settling on it between flow cycles, regardless of dripper orientation in the pipe. A Hydro cyclone separates sand and other solid matter from water with very little head loss and 90% or better efficiency. There is no head loss build up and no clogging when the solids are separated. Hydro cyclones are easy to operate and maintain, and have no moving parts or screens. Versatility in system configurations and ease of installation are some of its great advantages. A Hydro cyclone uses a tangential injection flow process, enhancing the centrifugal forces and moving solid particles outwards. The dispersed particles move downward in a spiral path into an underflow chamber (sedimentation tank) while clean liquid moves upwards to the centre of the spiral, towards the top outlet. A specially designed rubber insert protects the neck of the Hydro cyclone from erosion and increases separation efficiency. The Sedimentation Tank can be drained automatically with an automatic flushing kit (an electric valve, controller and small command filter). Automatic flushing will not interfere with the proper functioning of the Hydro cyclone. The Hydro cyclone has a 100 micron protective coating of extra durable polyester applied electrostatically and oven cured on a zinc-phosphate layer for maximal anti-corrosion protection.
