Types of Bleaching : Wet BleachingDry Bleaching WET BLEACHING : Oil slurry is agitated by dry steam in the bleacher for Wet Bleaching.Oil mixed with required amount of Phosphoric acid is used to precipitate Gums in system after which they are kept for an adequate time in the retention tank.The Slurry mixer receives the oil and mixes it with the bleaching earth to feed it to the Steam bleacher where it is bleached effectively.The gum̢۪s precipitation efficiency is enhanced due to moisture and due to this the gums and bleach oil are removed efficiently at once. DRY BLEACHING : Here slurry is not handled rather dry dosing is done with the slurry being in the vacuum. Bleaching is undertaken without any air contact which is beneficial as it prevents oil oxidation to give premium bleached oil.
