lWarm water from the heat source is pumped to the water distribution system at the top of the tower. lThe water is distributed over the wet deck fill by means of large orifice nozzles. lHeat from the warm water is dissipated through the coil tubes. lPartial heat evaporated sidewise directly by the downward natural induced air and discharged to the atmosphere. lThe rest of the heat remains to the water cascading downward over the tubes. lSimultaneously, air is drawn in also through the air inlet deflector at the base of the condenser and travels through the dehydrator and heat exchange fills at the same direction of the water flow. lA small portion of the water is evaporated which removes the heat. lThe warm moist air is drawn sidewise also by the fan and is discharged to the atmosphere. lThe remaining water falls to the sump at the bottom of the cooling tower where it is recirculated by the pump up through the water distribution system and back down over the coils.
