Afternoon city tour of Delhi Old Delhi, constitutes of Red Fort built by Emperor Shahjehaan in 1638 AD,Jama Mosque largest mosque in India also built by Shahjehan, Raj Ghat and Shanti van-the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and drives past Chandni Chowk, the main congested shopping hub of Old Delhi. New Delhi includes Qutab Minar, one of the earliest remains of Imperial Delhi (13th century AD ) Humayun's Tomb-the fine monument believed to be forerunner of Taj Mahal, India Gate, the 42 metre high arch was raised as a memorial to soldiers, drives past Parliament House, President's House,Secretariat Building, Laxminarayan Temple and The Connaught Place. Overnight at hotel. Day 02 : Delhi - Mandawa drive Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Mandawa and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Havelies in Shekhawati Region to see fresco paintings on the walls and ceiling. Overnight at hotel. Day 03 : Mandawa - Bikaner drive Breakfast at hotel. After an early breakfast start the drive at 0700 hours to Bikaner, which is in true desert country, and part of the ancient caravan route that came from west and central Asia. After traversing this part of the Thar desert , one arrives at the fortified city of Bikaner. Check into the hotel. Afternoon city tour of -Bikaner city is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century Junagarh fort housing old palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated. Overnight at hotel. Day 04 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Jaisalmer. Arrive Jaisalmer and Check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Day 05 : Jaisalmer Breakfast at hotel. Morning city tour of Jaisalmer which is well known for weaving, embroidery, silver jewelry and its colorful bazaars. The fort has some of the most intricately carved havelis such as the Patwon ki Haveli, Nathmalji ki Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli and beautiful Jain temples. In the afternoon take a drive to the sand dunes of Sam and watch the spectacular sun set. One has the option to take a short camel ride. Overnight at hotel. Day 06 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur Breakfast at hotel. This morning after breakfast leave Jaisalmer at 0700 hours, stopping midway at Pokhran.Arrive Jodhpur by noon -the blue hued city of the Rathore Rajputs, overlooked by the imposing Mehrangarh fort. Jodhpur the former capital of the Mewar State was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha. Afternoon City Tour of Jodhpur. Half day tour visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone Hill, including Moti-Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memoriam built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Overnight at hotel. Day 07 : Jodhpur - Kumbhalgarh Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Kumbhalgarh. Arrive Kumbhalgarh and check-in at the hotel Afternoon visit Kumbhalgarh Fort. Overnight at hotel. Day 08 : Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur Breakfast at hotel. Morning leave Kumbhalgarh for Udaipur enroute visiting Ranakpur Jain temples which are well preserved and in near perfect condition. The most distinctive feature of the shrine dedicated to Adinath are the 29 halls of the temple which contain 1444 pillars of which no two are exactly alike. The highlights of an excursion to Udaipur city involves a visit to the City Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari - Garden of the maids of honour, Jagdish Temple and museum of folkart. In the evening one has the option to take a boat ride on the Lake Pichola. Overnight at hotel. Day 10 : Udaipur - Kotah Breakfast at hotel. Morning leave Udaipur for Kotah enroute visiting Chittaurgarh the most romantic name in Rajasthan, where the famous Rajput beauty Rani Padmini en-amoured the Sultan of Delhi, Alauddin Khilji, upon seeing her reflection on a mirror. Visit the Chittorgarh Fort believed to have been built by the Mauryan rulers in the 7th century AD. Arrive at Kota - a fascinating mixture of medieval grandeur and modern industrialization - an impressive fort stands like a sentinel over the present day Chambal Valley Project with its many dams, while an old palace of the Hada Rajputs overlooks the turbulent Chambal river. Morning leave Kota for Ranthambore en-route visiting Bundi Fortress of medieval times standing sentinel to the city.
