ATFD is a modernized apparatus used for continuous processing of concentrated materials into dry solids. It consists of a shell with heatingjacket and a rotor centrally placed inside the shell equipped with rows and pendulum blades of length of the dryer.The wet feed is evenly distributed over the heated walls with the help of hinged blades of the rotor. The high turbulence evaporates the water/solvent only to convert the liquid into a slurry form, a cake, dry powder/ flex.The vapour rises upwards and collected as a condensate in a condenser. It contains contaminants like solid (dust particles), liquid (moisture) and oil which contaminates the compressed air. When this contaminated compressed air is used for various applications, it may cause failures of pneumatic valves, instruments, etc which results in the downtime of whole system. Our Air Dryers remove the moisture to a level of 80 ppm(w) by using pressure swing adsorption technology. The wet air enters into one desiccant tower and gets dried by the high performance desiccant adsorbent. The dry air passes through check valves and post filter to the utility. A portion of dry air (depending on the operating pressure and required dew point temperature) passes through an orifice into the other saturated tower at near atmospheric pressure, liberates the entrapped moisture in the desiccant to the atmosphere and regenerates it for the next drying cycle. A reliable electronic timer controls the cycle and valve operations effectively thereby ensures continuous dry air output to the utility.
