We thought why should a market-yard mandi be a bastion of males only and why should one sacrifice a good-night sleep and comfort of homeoffice over procurement and supply of agricultural produce from mandi? today, the buyers and suppliers have to be physically present at the mandi to execute buying and selling and in order to ensure that their commitment are met on-time and also get the best possible price, irrespective of the weather or their health. We thought that the farmers should also be able to directly sell their produce to the traders and get a good price in return. The agribusiness should be open to “unlimited” trading. I.e. It should be assessable to unlimited buyers and suppliers throughout the country. These thoughts gave birth to “kisanserv”, a unique "live bidding" procurement platform, which provides easy, transparent and competitive way of trading agricultural produce from the comfort of homeoffice.
